I have a basic question on the item segments ... The requirement by the client is that in 1 Operating unit they would want 2 segments and another OU(UK) they may require 5 segments . How can this be achieved?

Why they need this is the first qs...may be their requirement can be achieved through item category / catalog.
Oracle allow only one structure for item key ff..it can be more than 1 segment but only 1 structure..
So its really imp to have more than 1 srt then u ‘ll need diff instances for those OU inv rather
